Terms of Service
Acceptance of terms
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the Confédération Africaine de Rugby ("Rugby Africa", "we", "us"). They apply to every visitor, registered user and contributor to the Services. By continuing to browse or use the Services you confirm that you accept these Terms and that you are at least 16 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
Additional terms may apply to specific competitions, ticketing, promotions or programmes. Where they do, those terms are supplemental to — and in the event of conflict take precedence over — these general Terms.
Use of the website
You may use the Services for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes only. When using the Services you agree not to:
- Use the Services in any way that breaches applicable local, national or international law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers, systems or any data not intended for you.
- Introduce viruses, trojans, worms or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful.
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of the Services in contravention of these Terms.
- Collect or harvest information about other users without their consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or withdraw access to all or part of the Services without notice where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
Accounts & registration
Certain features — such as newsletters, fan communities or accreditation requests — may require you to register an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or that are used in breach of these Terms.
Intellectual property
All content on the Services — including text, graphics, logos, the Rugby Africa name and marks, match data, photography, video and audio — is owned by or licensed to Rugby Africa and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.
You may view, download and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise reproduce, distribute, broadcast, adapt or commercially exploit any content without our prior written permission.
User-submitted content
Where the Services allow you to submit content — for example competition entries, comments or media — you retain ownership of your content but grant Rugby Africa a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display it in connection with the Services and the promotion of African rugby.
You are solely responsible for content you submit and you warrant that it does not infringe the rights of any third party, and is not unlawful, defamatory or offensive. We may remove any user content at our discretion.
Tickets & events
Tickets purchased through or linked from the Services are subject to the terms of the relevant ticketing provider and the venue. Rugby Africa is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party ticketing partners.
Fixtures, kick-off times, venues and broadcast arrangements may change. While we make every effort to keep information accurate, the Services are provided for general guidance and should not be relied upon as the sole source of event information.
Third-party links
The Services may contain links to websites operated by member unions, partners, sponsors and other third parties. These links are provided for your convenience only; we have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss arising from your use of them.
Disclaimers & liability
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work to keep information accurate and up to date, we make no warranties or representations that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rugby Africa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Governing law
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the seat of Rugby Africa. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction.
Changes & contact
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, the law or best practice. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the most recent changes took effect. Your continued use of the Services after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
