Rugby Africa Women’s Cup: Proud SA Coach Koen Happy Springboks Can Learn From Experience

Koen expressed "I am especially proud of how this group stuck to the game plan, I feel we have learned a lot from playing in front of a stadium packed with spectators. It is also important that we faced a team that plays a different type of game and I am certain the girls learned a lot from the build-up.”

“It is disappointing that we gave away the tries, but I’m pleased that they executed the plan,” added Koen.

South Africa’s captain, Nolusindiso Booi believed that it was important for the team to showcase the depth of South African women’s rugby.

“It was a great experience and an important chance to get to know our depth. We embraced the pressure that the stadium gave us and hope we have made the women proud who have become before and paved the way for us.”
