Uganda Win Fifth-place Play Off
Inside-Centre Joseph Aredo scored a sudden-death penalty as Uganda won its Rugby Africa Cup fifth-place play off against Senegal in the most dramatic way, that kick securing a 34-31 win for the tournament hosts in one of the most bruising Test matches you’ll ever watch on the continent.

Tied 23-23 after regulation time, the teams had to contest a 10-minute-a-half extra time, which itself was full of drama.

It took the match to a 10-minute-a-half extra-time to settle matters.
Two penalties on both sides took the match to 26-26, then the brilliant tries.
Uganda fullback Timothy Kisiga burst through to score in the extra-time, gathering the ball and galloping through the Senegal line to cross the whitewash.

Allasane Sagna, the impressive Senegalese outside centre, then replied for the Western Africans after the forwards did the hard work for him to finish off in the corner.
It ended 31-31 after extra-time before Aredo calmed nerves in sudden death to send the home fans into song and dance.
